Artist's Statement As an artist who is very passionate about the transformative power  of creativity, I find art forms including theatre, music singing and media very interesting. Through my work I endeavor to gear the unique potential of each medium to create engaging experiences that will resonate with audiences on an intense level.   Art for me is a therapy and adventure to to explore the complications of the human experience. by seamlessly working together visual, auditory, and performative elements, I want to focus to change traditional artistic disciplines and create multidimensional works that  will challenge other artists and create interesting conversations.   My very favorite place and form of art is theatre and performing arts since I used to be a performer in my past. Theatre with its ability brings narrative into life. It offers interesting storytelling and it's been great medium for centuries now. ...
Soundwalk For the soundwalk assignment I chose to walk down in my residential neighborhood, in South part of Brooklyn. I live in Bensonhurst. I’m writing this while i’m walking. The first sound I heard the moment I stepped out of the building was 3 men talking in language which did not sound familiar to me. I suddenly heard fire department’s car’s alarm sounds because I live a block away from the fire department of Bensonhurst. Since it was a nice weather I saw 3 birds humming on the tree. I was very observant and attentive, i tried my best to hear  every little thing on the street but it’s impossible to listen to everything at the same time. I heard someone was dragging the trash bag probably full of glasses and cans because it sounds very harsh. The card are honking. I passed the laundromat and heard how little cat jumped out of the bushes. I walked down 2 blocks, I heard 2-3 different languages spoken, some Mandarin, Spanish, and Albanian. I went close to the main street a...

Relationships between shots

I decided to watch a scene from the episodes of Marriage. In this scene shots are related to each other visually and thematically. In this scene Mira leaves her husband Jonathan, they’re hugging each other, and shots are mostly concentrated on the sadness of the couple. For me it looks like the shots are mostly related to the story and visual. While there are different angles. For first couple of seconds the couple are shot by cameraman with pretty much close angles and from the shoulder angle, and medium angle. later when woman is leaving there is a long shot from the hallway through outside where the taxi is waiting for Mira. And at the end we see an over the shoulder shot from Jonathan’s angle. I also saw for 2-3 seconds 180 degree shot while Mira was opening the door and Jonathan was letting her go as well as matched angle when she came back to take her last luggage. There are jump cuts as well. there was not point of view shot from any actor’s point of view in this scene. I...
